Subdivision Engineering, NSW
Civil design for subdivisions and dual occupancies — stormwater, drainage, driveways and council documentation. From feasibility to approval.
- Subdivisions from 2 to 35+ lots
- Concept through to construction
- We'll tell you straight if it doesn't stack up
How it works
-
Tell us the address
That is genuinely all we need to start. You do not need plans, a survey, or to know what you want to build yet.
-
We do a desktop check
We look at the zoning, lot size, frontage, easements and obvious constraints using publicly available planning information, and tell you whether the block looks worth investigating.
-
Feasibility, if it looks good
If the desktop check is promising, we scope what a proper investigation involves — the surveys and reports you would need, and what the real constraints are likely to be.
-
Design, council and delivery
Civil design for stormwater, drainage and driveways, the documentation council needs, and project management through approval to construction.

What it costs and how long it takes
[FILL — real numbers required. Cover: (1) how you price subdivision work — fixed fee, staged, or hourly; (2) a genuine range or starting figure for a two-lot subdivision; (3) how long YOUR documentation takes; (4) that council assessment time is outside your control, with a realistic range. Do not publish this page with a vague turnaround claim — the brief explicitly forbids it.]
Not sure your block even works? Start there.
Before anyone spends money on surveys, we will do a free desktop check on the address and tell you honestly whether it is worth investigating. It is a high-level review based on public planning information — not engineering advice, not a feasibility study, and not a guarantee of council approval. If the site does not stack up, we will say so.

Can my block be subdivided?
That depends on the zoning, the minimum lot size for your area, the frontage, and what easements or constraints sit across the land. It is the first thing we check, and the free desktop check above will give you an honest read before you spend anything.
What does the process involve end to end?
Broadly: a feasibility check, then survey and supporting reports, then civil design and the council documentation, then the approval itself, then construction of any required works and finally the plan of subdivision being registered. We can handle the engineering and project management across all of it.
How long does council take?
[FILL — realistic range for the councils you work with. This is outside CDG's control and should be stated as such, but give a number rather than 'it varies'.]
What does it cost to find out?
The initial desktop check on your address costs nothing. Beyond that, see the pricing section above.
What if the answer is no?
We tell you, early, and we tell you why. Finding out a block does not work is a far better outcome than spending months and thousands of dollars discovering it slowly. If there is a version of the project that does work, we will point at that instead.
